About Me
Shari Simpson is a screenwriter, author, teacher, and public speaker. She also excels at talking about herself in the third person, so here goes:
Shari currently has a feature film, 1% BETTER: THE CHRIS AND NIK NIKIC STORY, penned with her longtime writing partner, Charlie Shahnaian, in development for Pocket 7 Films/Rohm-Feifer Entertainment, and the movie GODWINKS in pre-production for Netflix. Shari and Charlie's film COLOR MY WORLD WITH LOVE premiered on the Hallmark Channel in June 2022 and their animated series, MAISIE J, is currently in development with Wind Dancer Films and Highlights Magazine. Shari’s first feature film for The Disney Channel was THE SWAP, which premiered in fall 2016 to 3.1 million total viewers, making it the top kids cable telecast for the third quarter of that year.
Shari’s middle-grade fantasy novel, SAM SAVES THE NIGHT was published by Disney Hyperion Books and her chapter book series, SUGAR RUSH RACERS, based on the animated film series Wreck-It Ralph, hit the shelves in 2023. She lives in Hoboken, New Jersey, with a handsome husband, two marvelous teenagers, a cat, and… the pug. Who gets her own bio.
Mila Kunis is a pug. She is adorable and cuddly and sweet, and will eat the food right out of your mouth if you’re not paying attention. She hates the cat and is convinced that he is the spawn of Satan. She’s kinda right.
